DIY Holiday Gifts For Your Dog Series: Dog Paw Boots
Let’s get crafty! Bark & Swagger is participating in my friend, Vicki Rae Thorne of Earth Heart’s DIY Holiday Gifts for Your Dog Series. Earth Heart is a wonderful brand that makes beautiful smelling, medicinal aromatherapy sprays for dogs, to help with anxiety, travel sickness, as a flea and tick deterrent and an immune system booster.
Each day, Vicki will turn us on to a cool DIY project we can make for our pups. I’ll include a link to complete instructions at the end of each post. I want to note that the artwork for each post was created by Griffin Thorne Illustrations. Griffin is Vicki’s very talented son!
The How-To’s of Making Dog Paw Boots
This time of year is tough on a dog’s paws with the cold, the road salt, and the hard, frozen ground. You can help keep their paws warm and safe with a set of homemade dog boots! All you need is some fabric, Velcro and a sewing machine.
As per Uberpest, here are some uses for your DIY dog paw boots:
-Icy trail conditions.
-Protect feet from road chemicals and salt.
-Protect feet from rocky trails and surfaces.
-Protect against formation of ice balls in between toes.
-Keep dressings on wounded feet.
Instructions here!
The complete instructions are available from Uberpest.com here. Happy crafting and a happy and safe holiday from Bark & Swagger.
