Pet moms are sometimes the most underrated of moms. Caring for our little charges is a full time job, on top of our full time jobs! Toddlers for life. And yet, we love them so. Even in the midst of a stubborn “tantrum” or incessant barking (Lord, that’s my house), one “I know I”m charming” look from the corner of Sophie’s eye, and I break out laughing and can’t help but cuddle her. Whatever colors you fancy, I think you’ll find something you love. For what they are, the prices are relatively reasonable; a set runs in the area of $250.00, give or take. I chose to highlight a striking, green jade necklace set, with Erinite Swarovski crystals and a gunmetal double rose pendant on mom’s necklace, a single on the baby’s. A funky gunmetal chain adds some edge to mom’s piece. Baby’s has a 2″ extender on the back for comfort. Both close with a lobster clasp and have a Swarovski Briolette Signature Teardrop dangle. If you’re a sparkle girl, like me, Dazzle Pet is your significant other’s destination for a, yes, I said it, dazzling matching collar and bracelet set (with maybe a little barrette thrown in for good measure). Brand founder, Ann Clinger, designs her great-looking pieces with a nod to what’s trending in fashion, so expect to see lots of bold color choices, and a couple of purple hues (remember, Radiant Orchid is the color of 2014). A Photo’s Worth A Thousand Words
I discovered this company while at a pet retail convention here in New York, and I thought the sentiment of what they did was really cool. Zelda’s Song is a brand inspired by Sharon Herrman’s Bernese Mountain Dog, Zelda, who sadly passed away at age 6 from malignant histiocytosis.
