Dog Lovers Gift For A Mother’s Day Giveaway; Thank You Dog Is Good!
Dog mom’s, Bark and Swagger has a Mother’s Day gift just for you! We are partnering with a very cool company called Dog is Good, which celebrates all things dog and the wonderful things they do for us everyday. Before I tell you what dog lovers gift Dog is Good is donating, I have to tell you a bit about this company, because I love the work they are doing.
Dog is Good (D.I.G.) makes a variety of products featuring dogs, clever sayings pertaining to dogs, and inspiring messages about dogs, like tee shirts, hats, coffee mugs and more. They also offer products for our dogs, including toys, dishes, water bottles and waste bags. For some of their products, the company has created partnerships with other brands, like PetHub pet ID tags and Victoria Stilwell dog-related apparel. Company founders, Jon and Gila Kurtz, recognize what we all know; that dogs make our lives better (cats and other pets make our lives better, too, but this brand focuses on canines, so we will, too!)
But it is The BOLO Project that I really want to tell you about. D.I.G. has launched a year long initiative, benefiting Leader Dogs for the Blind, to raise a Yellow Lab pup, aptly named BOLO, from 8 weeks old until he is ready to begin his guide dog training and become a Leader Dog. BOLO stands for Be On the Look Out, and its tag line is One puppy will change how you see the world. The project kicked off in September of 2013, when Jon and Gila first picked BOLO up. A bit about Leader Dogs for the Blind: they are a non-profit whose mission it is to empower people who are blind, visually impaired or Deaf-Blind with lifelong skills for independent travel through quality Leader Dogs, highly effective client instruction and innovative services. It’s a great mission, and we can all participate by donating what we can to them through D.I.G. D.I.G. has partnered with high profile companies like Office Depot, Kurgo, John Paul Pet Shampoos and more. Here’s a photo of BOLO:

Yes the cats get Easter Baskets too. I have dicovered that cats do not enjoy wearing the Easter Bonnets as much as I enjoy making them. Gotta get that picture quick.
Haha! I can imagine. We have two kittys, Lola and Isabel, and I can just see what they would do with bonnets on their heads. They wouldn’t be there long! Lovely that you give them baskets for Easter. Any special Mothers Day plans with your furry babies?
I tried & wasn’t able to. Sorry anyway.
I’m really sorry you couldn’t. For the next contest, I won’t make FB a requirement for entry and you’ll be able to enter, no problem.
Hello, I have an adorable Shih tzu & would like to enter your contest but, we aren’t on FB….can we still somehow enter?
Gin & Bailey

I’ll bet! Thanks for sharing, Maryann! Mother’s Day is coming up and us dog or kitty moms could be celebrating with our fur babies. YOu doing anything special?

Hi Shelly! That’s great! Glad you entered and wishing you luck!
Sounds like a great company and program. And the tote is fab! Thanks for the opportunity. As with my human children, my canine is required to give me as many kisses as I want on Mother’s Day. The best!
LOL, Kristen! I hear you! I really like this company, too. They seem like great people with their hearts in the right place. I’m loving the tote, too! Thanks for entering and wishing you luck!
We got a special dinner for Easter and went for a long hike. We have a ton of toys that need to be sufficiently played with first before we’ll get some new ones, so there were no new toys this year for Easter 😉
Sounds like our house, Tiffany. 🙂 Sophie has an overflowing basket of toys and when I bring a new one home, my husband just shakes his head. She has her favorites and the rest kind of sit around until she surprises me one day and picks one up to play! A long hike sounds wonderful. Glad you all had a great Easter. With Mother’s Day coming up, you going to do anything with your fur baby or babies?
I will give my Lady Girl a special treat at Easter.
Hi Ann! Thanks for sharing! Lady Girl is such a sweet name to call her! She sounds like a very lucky lady. Are you celebrating Mother’s Day with her? Us dog and kitty mom’s should be celebrated on this day, too! 🙂
Love your site!! I give my puppies gifts all year round!!!! They are the light of my life all 3 dogs and ofcourse the kitty too!!!
Hi Marian! Thank you!! So glad you love it! Sounds like you have a wonderful animal family. I’m a sucker for a cute toy or treat for Sophie, even though she is a lucky girl and doesn’t need a new toy or treat. I just can’t help myself. I think you know what I mean. 🙂 Thanks so much for sharing!
Yup! My pups got some raw meat bones for Easter! They were quite happy.
What a great treat for the doggies! Thanks for sharing, Lauren. They sounds like lucky pups!
I don’t give my pets Easter presents, but I do give them birthday and Christmas presents. 🙂
Hi Lisa! Thanks for commenting! What about Mother’s Day? Are you doing anything with your pups to celebrate being a dog mom?
Since I don’t really celebrate Easter, my dogs don’t get specific Easter gifts. I do give them special gifts for Christmas and Valentine’s Day, and spoil them for no reason at all at various times throughout the year.
Hi Linda! Thanks for commenting. This is a Mother’s Day giveaway, something all of us with fur babies can celebrate. I do the same as you. I spoil Sophie rotten all year! LOL Are you going to do anything special with your pups around Mother’s Day? Would love to hear! 🙂
What an awesome program and a great giveaway!
Hi Kim! Glad you like! You have anything special planned with your babies for Mother’s Day?
