When our old placemats had worn out their welcome, I went looking online. When I want to find unusual or quirky items, I often go onto Etsy.com. That’s where I found Melinda and Erica, co-owners of The Monogram Line. I fell in love with their vibrant placemats and ordered one for each of my four babies.
A bit about the mats
These are well made placemats, with a rubber bottom to keep them in place (nothing worse than your dog pushing it’s mat and bowl around the room) and a fabric upper, which to me, feels like a type of felt. It’s washable and I’ve put dirty spots under the faucet with a bit of dish soap to get out individual stains. I just don’t put it in the dryer, just like I wouldn’t put my rubber backed shower mat into the dryer. I prop the mats up on the kitchen counter or you can lay them flat, and they dry in no time, retaining their vibrant color.
The mats measure 12.25″ x 17″, a nice size big enough to catch the food my Sophie inevitably drops onto it and not so big that it overpowers the space. It’s 3mm thick.
When ordering…
They need certain information; there are a lot of choices in colors, patterns, fonts for the monogramming. When you order, you’ll give the following:
