Pet Mats for a Pampered Meal Time – A Giveaway!
Princes and Princesses, Listen Up! One of the accoutrements of the pampered pup is your own monogrammed placemat. And, I have a great find for beautiful ones that are different, fun and colorful (and, we’re giving one away…yes, we are!). And, if you aren’t the lucky winner, you’re still in luck with 15% off any order with coupon code SWAGGER15 at checkout.
The Monogram Line is your destination for a wide variety of personalized gifts, monograms and accessories. Think mats, pet ID tags, and even more for dog moms, like note pads, key chains, wine stoppers, jar cozies, mouse pads, so so much, I can’t list them all here.
When our old placemats had worn out their welcome, I went looking online. When I want to find unusual or quirky items, I often go onto Etsy.com. That’s where I found Melinda and Erica, co-owners of The Monogram Line. I fell in love with their vibrant placemats and ordered one for each of my four babies.
A bit about the mats
These are well made placemats, with a rubber bottom to keep them in place (nothing worse than your dog pushing it’s mat and bowl around the room) and a fabric upper, which to me, feels like a type of felt. It’s washable and I’ve put dirty spots under the faucet with a bit of dish soap to get out individual stains. I just don’t put it in the dryer, just like I wouldn’t put my rubber backed shower mat into the dryer. I prop the mats up on the kitchen counter or you can lay them flat, and they dry in no time, retaining their vibrant color.
The mats measure 12.25″ x 17″, a nice size big enough to catch the food my Sophie inevitably drops onto it and not so big that it overpowers the space. It’s 3mm thick.
When ordering…
They need certain information; there are a lot of choices in colors, patterns, fonts for the monogramming. When you order, you’ll give the following:
- Pattern Design & Pattern Color
- Accent Shape & Accent Color
- Font Choice
- Pet Name
- Would you like a preview of your design?
The placemats aren’t crazy expensive, either, especially for what you’re getting. Each personalized pet placemat costs $19.99.
So, how do you win one of these fabu mats for your own prince or princess?

Love the beautiful doggie placements. Lilly would surely be delivered to receive one.
Lilly is not a messy eater, she just likes to have her dining area prestine and beautifully accessories.
Lilly asked me to put in a good word for all the pets that have been affected by hurricane Harvey.
Please donate for the rescue operations that are happening in Texas.

Thank you, Margory. We agree completely. It does warm my heart to see how people are coming together to help save animals, both domestic and wild, and get them to safety. And I like how Houston’s mayor said there’ll be no tolerance for those who leave their dogs tied up and evacuate. How unbelievable is that, that someone who do something so cruel? Anyway, wishing you and Lilly lots of luck in the giveaway!
I have three dogs, but one of them likes to play food games! He will get one of the other dogs to the bowl and then stand behind them, wait for them to leave and then grab a mouthful of food. Its totally weird.
Thanks, Cheryl. Dogs have weird eating habits like some people, I think. Our Sophie likes to play mind games with Jasper. He waits patiently behind her until she’s done, because he knows he can lick her bowl. Sometimes, she’ll finish, walk away and linger nearby. As Jasper gets up to go over to her bowl (and this is after waiting a long time, considering Jas is a dog), Sophie will walk back over to her bowl, not because she wants anything, but just to mess with Jasper. And, he’s so respectful of her, he backs off. I feel bad for him at those times.
My big girl, Lady, gobbles her food down and then goes for her little brothers food. They are chi/pugs and graze all day long.
We had a similar problem with our Anabelle. A 6.5 lb Chihuahua, but an appetite like a 60 lb-er. It took time, but we taught her to wait by her bowl until Albie, our other Chi and her father, finished his food and then she knows she’s allowed to lick the bowl. Our Jasper waits patiently behind Sophie until she’s done. Then, he knows he’s allowed to lick her bowl. But Anabelle wants to get involved in Jasper’s spoils, so I have to pick her up and hang onto her until Jasper is at Sophie’s bowl. Then, I let her go and she goes after the little droppings that may be on the floor around Sophie’s bowl. It’s a whole ritual at our house, but it’s gotten to the place where it works.
I just enjoy your blog and look forward to each email!
The mats are just to precious!
Hi Laura! Thank you! So glad you enjoy the blog! We love our mats. We got matching ones for the girls and for the boys, and they look so cute and catch the food that most of them drop. It’s a win win. 🙂
