PawVogue Fashionista 2014: Designer Dog Fashion Competition
Fashion hounds of the two and four-legged kind, there’s a fun and fabulous designer dog fashion competition going on right now you’ve got to know about! Want to discover the designers canine couture-lovers seek out? The ones who help set the trends? They’re all gathering in one place through November 10th, displaying some of their best designs, under the umbrella of an organization called PawVogue. And, we can get a sneak peak at the entries in the Fashionista 2014 competition! The best bet? If you see something you like, you can own it, custom-made for your little baby.
I’m really excited about this competition, because I think pet fashion designers who are elevating the game need as many solid platforms to get what they’re doing out into the world. PawVogue, originally started by a fashion and pet-loving man named Bob Shaughnessy, was the first, ongoing organization to gather top-notch designers under one roof with the sole purpose of showcasing their talents.
Now run by the talented pet designer, Janice Craig, of Belle Diva Couture, PawVogue is continuing Bob’s vision of bringing high quality pet design to us!
So, I urge you to stop over to their Facebook page , sign up to become a member of this exclusive group, so you can see fresh fashion any time, and view the Fashionista 2014 photo album of this year’s contestants thus far. And, don’t be shy! Comment on what you love and, if you do love something, buy! Let’s support the wonderful designers who create the beauty that makes life with our little fashionistas so much fun!
Do you like to dress your dog? What’s your favorite designer? Tell me about it in the Comments.
I would like a warm down parka with sleaves for my Boston Terrier. She has broad shoulders but a tiny body and head and dog clothing is not made for any broad shoulder breeds and therefore clothes, jackets etc don’t fit properly. Does anyone out there make clothing for these kinds of dogs? I’m sure anyone with a pug, pit, or boxer understands what I mean.
Hi Katia – I understand what you mean. My suggestion would be to go on PawVogue’s closed group FB page; the link is in my story, and pose that to the group. You need to join the group first, but that should be pretty easy. If my design company, Couture by Sophie, was back up and running again, I would do something like that for you, but it’s almost ready to relaunch. Let me know if you need any help within the group and good luck!
Katia…Sandra Barnes does some really cute coats. She just recently posted some fleece lined coats on the PawVogue Group Page for buyers. Come on over to FB and take a look.
