Worn mainly by show dogs, snoods are a great way to extend the warmth of a good coat, if it doesn’t have a high collar. This one, made by The Thrifty Needle, out of Seattle, Washington, and using up cycled materials, is called Salmon Berry. It’s a handmade item, using acrylic wool and features these wonderful grey, salmon and aqua colors! Dusty pink and black fashion statement
Berry Parka
You know I’m always looking off the beaten path for great choices for our pups, and I came across this designer who sells wholesale to stores around the country. They offer a store list, which you’ll find a link to below.
I love the smooth lines of this classic parka, made especially for Greyhounds by Scooters Friends. Full coverage across the check, belly and neck means your sweet, gentle baby will be protected and warm. The shell is made from a highly durable, 400 denier, pack cloth nylon that is DWR treated to protect against wind and rain. The lining is a Polartec Thermal Pro fleece, making this one of the, if not the, warmest coat on the market. A snuggly turtle neck collar is integrated into the coat with a 2″ opening for a leash. The contours and curves of this coat follows that of a Greyhound’s build, making this a great fit. I also love how it slips over the head and fastens at the sides. It gives the coat style and a nice, sleek look. This style also comes in a slate blue, black and a herringbone wool.

Great double fleece reversible
Unique Double Fleece Tie Coat
This piece caught my eye because it’s just so unusual. I really like the soft bronze, cream and peach colors and that it’s constructed from two layers of warm and comfy fleece. I also like that the tie coat is reversible; the other side is a solid brown. It features 2” wide hook and loop fasteners at the neck and under the body. This is made by a design label called Snoodii, out of Ohio, which are fashions especially designed for the Italian Greyhound. It also comes in a reversible red, black and white puppy and paw print pattern, that is really cute.

A handsome and warm winter coat

No, I’m not talking about your significant other! LOL I’m referring to this great Greyhound winter coat. What I love about Voyager K9 Apparel is they make warm, good-looking coats for variety of breeds, many of them hard to fit. Boston Terriers, Great Danes, Whippets, English Bulldogs, Pugs…and many more. This coat is made from an Ultrex outer shell with Polar Fleece lining providing warmth with breathable, waterproof and windproof protection for the dog. It’s recommended for walks in temperature of 40º F or less. It’s contoured to a Greyhounds lines. There’s an attached turtleneck/hood that can be pulled up to cover the ears or folded down. A large Velcro adjustable band holds the coat in place and protects the underbelly. This manufacturer also has a signature counterbalance strap that keeps the coat from shifting when the dog moves. Another feature is a reflective safety strip across the back for high visibility and a collar opening. A harness opening can be added for an additional fee, as can a special Greyhound Tummy Warmer for extra warmth during walks in temperature of 20º F or less. Machine washable.
