Had some fun shooting this one today for 52 Snapshots of Life photo challenge. Try taking a photo of Jasper and it’s nearly impossible. Why? The little terrier terror can’t keep still! It took a fistful of treats and some begging, and Sophie still photobombed it. LOL I did my own take on traditional “red” for red, white & blue. It’s more a raspberry to match the flowers. But hey, I like it! 🙂 And, I managed to catch Jas in a split second of smiling and looking at me, simultaneously. I’m good with that.
Pet blogging friend and colleague, Christina Berry of The Lazy Pitbull, created this fun challenge. You don’t have to be a blogger to participate. Just snap or choose a pic you’ve taken that matches that week’s theme and post it on your social networks, with the hashtag #52Snapshots, so we can all follow along! For pet bloggers, this is a BlogHop, so hop on!
What are you doing for July 4th? Share! We’ll be hunkering down at home, hoping it’s sane enough to take the pups out in the yard.
Have a happy and safe 4th, everyone!
Great idea to use nature to make the red – it’s close enough! Happy 4th!
LOL, thanks! It’s this really pretty raspberry red. Hope you had a great holiday!
Happy 4th! We are spending the day with the kitties 🙂
Thanks! Hope you had a great one, Ellen!
I like it too! I love the flowers and Jasper’s happy smile. Is Sophie actually swimming in the background there?
We’re staying close to home today too. The dogs just had some fetch time and then hubby and I are going to go to the local flea market for a little while. We’ll be home long before all the noise starts so we can keep things as quiet as possible for the dogs.
Thanks, Jan! Yes, Sophie is on the pool float, probably about to jump in to fetch her toy. I didn’t mean to get her in there, but once I saw it, I actually thought it was cute. Soph likes to horn in on everything Jasper’s anyway, so it made sense she’d photobomb him. LOL Your plan sounds like a great one. We’re staying close to home today, too, for same reason. It’s already started here and it’s only lunchtime. Hope yours is drama free, safe and happy.
Moving targets can be a challenge! Great picture!
Always! Challenges of a dog parent. 🙂
Happy 4th of July, buddy! Not every dog loves to be a photo model, so no worries! You are looking good!
Emma, it takes a village to get Jasper to sit still for a photo! Oh, and a whole lot of treats. But, he is a handsome boy and I”ll tell him you said he’s looking good. He’ll love that. 🙂
Yep, he sure is patriotic and he has a nice smile!
Thanks, Cathy! When we come home, he bares his teeth like Jim Carrey in Mask or Jack Nicholson in The Shining, because he’s so happy to see us, he literally tries to smile so hard that it looks hysterical. I have to get a pic of that one day.
