What’s cuter than a sassy pup in seersucker?! Memorial Day is over and it’s time to get our summer on, people! And, that means the most adorable summer fashion ideas. Today, I’m bringing you a brand I met at Global Pet Expo, and love so much, I’ve invited them into the Bark & Swagger Boutique. It’s called The Worthy Dog and they have super affordable, well-made and precious seersucker pieces perfect for the season.

Whether functioning as a cute beach cover up, a stylish outfit for outdoor dining or a city girl or boy’s adventure, The Worthy Dog dresses and boy shirts are vibrant, fun must haves. Design development director, Debbie Carroll, came from the women’s fashion world, and it shows. There’s a real attention paid to fabric selection, detailing and color.
“Our goal is to target apparel for dogs that go hand in hand with what people are wearing,” Debbie explained. “We had fabric especially embroidered and made for us. Things like cutting the dress collar and waistband on the bias as a design feature, or the boy shirts having an actual placket on the back, even though its non functional. We try to make the clothes look like actual people’s clothes.”
What I also love about this collection is it’s so comfortable. The fabric is soft cotton, so its easily washable and gets better with age.
What are the details?
The seersucker dress comes in Pink Check, Navy Check and Navy Stripe Anchor. The seersucker boy shirt comes in Orange Check, Navy Check and Navy Stripe Anchor. Sizing for the dresses and boy shirts run from 5 lbs for the XS to 85 lbs for the XXL. Finally, adorable clothes for big dogs! The price for each dress or boy shirt is $22.00.
Another style The Worthy Dog offers that is super cute is its Seattle Slicker, a reversible, water resistant spring/summer jacket in three bright, happy colors. That the linings match the dresses and boy shirts is a great option for a cool spring evening or a mix and match. There are draw cords for hood adjustments, and a reflective patch makes for more visibility on evening walks.
Slicker sizing goes from a 6 lb dog for the XS, all the way up to a 70 lb dog for the XXL. Colors are cotton candy pink, cherry red and cobalt blue. Pricing for the Seattle Slicker ranges from $24.00 – 30.00.
