You might think a color couldn’t command such an honor, but when Pantone announces it, design industries across the board take notice. We can expect to see this beguiling blend of fuchsia, purple and pink undertones dominate the runways, beauty products and interior design, like emerald green did in 2013. The History of the Color Orchid and What It Signifies
I love purple. It’s one of my favorite colors, included in my home and my designs. It’s a color favored by royalty throughout the centuries. The word orchid first appeared in English used to describe a color in 1915. The orchid flower symbolizes love, virility, wealth and luxury. The color purple is supposed to uplift, calm the mind and nerves, encourage creativity and offer a sense of spirituality.
