Superbowl is behind us and, as disappointing a game for sheer nail-biting excitement as it was, there’s no time to dwell on it. It’s Oscar Season! Tinseltown VIP’s are making final decisions on red carpet dresses, having their fittings and saying their prayers that the Academy recognizes them this year. But we have other things on our minds. For us, Oscar season means parties, parties, parties! And for some lucky pups, it means a walk down the carpet with their celebrity moms or dads. What to do? We are looking for Oscar red carpet winners and I’ve found some amazing ones. So, come along and discover 4 dresses to die for this awards season.
The Diamond Dress
A true Oscar worthy gown, this stunning confection is comprised of over 1000 Swarovski crystal elements! The red velvet bodice and neckline is encrusted with them, followed by a flouncy and flowing 2-tiered red organza ruffled skirt. Wow! This is all custom-made, of course, so you can request what the length of the skirt should be. Which I like. I have a bit of a hard time seeing little dogs with trains. It just looks uncomfortable for the dog to move in. Floor length, for a dog’s body, just covers the tail, for me. It looks in proportion and fresh. The Diamond Dress is sophisticated and will take your princess to many a black tie occasion. And, it’s hand washable, a plus.

The Antonio
Got a handsome little boy? No problem! This carpet worthy vest will do just the trick! A beautiful vine-patterned silk jacquard leads into vest tails made from a rich cotton velvet. And just like a formal tux, this piece features a satin cummerbund waist, with pearl and gold embellishments. It’s finished with a cream bow at the neckline and your baby will be ready for anything.

Blue Tiger
This is rock and roll meets runway glamour. I love the edgy aqua and black tiger print croc-patterned lycra bodice. How can something as comfortable as lycra for your dog to wear look as fierce as this? Olga Yuditsky of Orostani Couture is a genius at design and fit. Add layers of blue marine, sky blue and black tulle for the crystal embellished asymmetrical skirt, and you’d think, wow! But there’s more. Adorning the waistline are four filmy black organza roses, dotted with Swarovski crystals. A truly beautiful creation. Bravo, Olga!

Couture Black/White Dots
This chic and a bit over-the-top piece is gorgeous. In a very on trend black and white motif, the bodice is made from 4-ply silk, cut out and embroidered in an intricate pattern, and then embellished with Swarovski elements crystals. The skirt is a black and white polka dot pattern on white organza with a tulle under coat to add fullness to the design. An important black chiffon sunflower adorns the waist, with a silver bead center and a black rose bead dangling drop. Sheer perfection!

Couture Royal Harness Vest
Another option for your stunning boy! Granted, it’s a bit of a Dapper Dan-type garment, but it’s Oscar’s, so it’s all good! This elegant piece is made from midnight blue bridal satin, adorned with silver and crystal trim in a sort of royal military finery. The collar is also embellished with a Swarovski elements crystal trim along the edge and the vest is finished with designer buttons and a lace tie. A very put-together, classy look.

Couture Fuchsia Peacock
This stunner is just waiting for its Oscar moment! An amazing iridescent taffeta with a purple cast makes up the bodice. It is embellished with peridot sequins and berry colored and AB crystal gems. And if that wasn’t enough, the unbelievable skirt is created from a sea of precision made fuchsia petals on mesh, with layers of tulle and crinoline underneath, giving the dress an at-once soft and shapely silhouette. I love love this piece.
