Paris’ amazing love
Just when you think you’ve heard it all, there’s Paris Hilton to bring us some fresh piece of head-scratching celebrity news. The 33-year-old starlet, who always has at least one little dog in tow, has a new man in her life, and I”m told he’s pretty amazing. Mr. Amazing, that is, a powder puff of a micro teacup Pomeranian, said to be worth a whopping $13,000! It’s so crazy, I have to say it again. $13,000! I mean, to us, our fur babies are priceless, but, really?
For that price, she’s not getting much. Mr. Amazing is tiny in stature, weighing in at an uber petite 10 ounces, with a back length of only 2.5 inches. The pup is four and a half months old and will only reach about two pounds, when fully grown (the AKC states Poms typically grow to between three and seven pounds).
While Mr. Amazing is a big name for such a little guy, it’s not his forever one, as per Hilton. If you’re so inclined, you can help Paris rename her little one on
Instagram, where she’s been proclaiming her love for the pup through really cute pics and videos.

Paris purchased Mr. Amazing from a Betty Pedram, based in Calgary, Alberta, who sells teacup Yorkies and other small breeds, advertising them on her Facebook page. For the record, I’m not a supporter of those who sell puppies, unless you’re a responsible breeder. According to the Calgary Sun newspaper, Pedram’s business arranges for puppies from South Korea to be shipped to new homes overseas, which could be a good thing if they were going to be dinner, let’s say, in Korea.
Uh, can you say muy adorbs?

I have to say, Mr. Amazing is pretty darn adorable. He seems to already have quite the personality, and I would recommend some of the videos I saw in
MTV.com‘s coverage of this story.
Mr. Amazing began traveling in style, even before he arrived in Hollywood. One of our own, fave designers,
Yvette Ruta, outfitted the little pup with some of her gorgeous couture and a beautiful, turquoise blanket for his journey.

I’m happy the little fella is going to be living the luxe life, and I hope it will be a good life for him, filled with fun, play, good care and lots of love. But I, too, have to wonder, as a fellow pet blogger did in a Google+ post, how many dogs could’ve been saved with $13,000? A fair number, I’d think.
What do you think about Paris paying the big bucks for her new pup? Is the fact that it’s coming from a country where, traditionally, they’ve eaten dogs, make it more ok? Would love your thoughts in the Comments below.
