Gifts for Animal Lovers – P3 Personalized Jewelry. A Giveaway!
Do you ever see fashion that touches you on a deeper level? I see pieces I love all the time, but this was different. This necklace’s message spoke to me. I saw it at the Women in the Pet Industry Network conference last August. It was being given to each of the women honored as exemplary in their individual categories. As soon as I read what was inside, I knew I had to have it and I made it my business to find out the designer. I’m sharing this with you, because these are perfects gifts for animal lovers and as messages of empowerment for ourselves, too.
Being inspired
What was the message inside this necklace that touched me so? It said, “She believed she could, so she did.” Simple, yet powerful words. How often do we feel overwhelmed by life, by everything we have to accomplish, and think, “I can’t do this!” Yet, the mind is so powerful that, if we truly believe we can do something, we probably can. So, I got home, went online and bought myself this necklace and I wear it often. It reminds me of how powerful I am, and don’t we all need that kind of reminder sometimes? Oh, yeah!
The designer is a talented woman named Melissa Erickson of P3 Personalized Jewelry. She has a lovely shop on Etsy, with necklaces, key rings and bracelets, all with inspired, personalized messages inside. These are very cool-looking, interesting pieces and I’ve gotten many comments on my necklace every time I wear it.

I’m always thinking of fun, meaningful or helpful items to share with you. So, I talked to Melissa about creating something special for Bark & Swagger followers that revolved around our love of animals, naturally! This special piece she created has an oh-so-true message: “Loving an animal awakens one’s soul.” Right?! Melissa’s story
Making jewelry was a passion for Melissa since she was a teen. Fast forward to being a wife, mother to two young boys and running a preschool from her home. Melissa needed a creative outlet and referred back to her love of jewelry making. Taking the advice of a friend, she made the first step, placing a small order with a jewelry supply company. She’d had lots of ideas in her mind and, once she started tinkering at the kitchen table, they came to life. As she wore them, friends and family asked her to make pieces for them. Their friends caught on and, before she knew it, Melissa needed a name for her growing business that featured messages about life, love and faith. She chose P3 Personalized Jewelry, inspired by Proverb 3: Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart.
