With fall almost upon us, there’s a brand I love that conjures up images of some of our favorite national parks. Pendleton is making beautiful dog coats, beds, sweaters and accessories with a rich history behind them, and Carolina Pet Company has the exclusive rights to distribute them in the U.S.. This is a very stylish choice for travel, camping or even just taking a drive to see the gorgeous fall colors. And, there’s a goodie bag up for grabs from Pendleton, and one lucky Bark & Swagger follower will win it, so stay tuned to see how to enter!
What’s new in Pendleton Wool for Fall?
Pendleton were one of my faves at Global Pet Expo, so I stopped by their booth at SuperZoo to see what was new for the season. While they will always offer their stunning, iconic park patterns and colors, released earlier this year for pets, in honor of the centennial of the National Park Service, they’ve also introduced fun and fab new patterns!

Pendleton Dog Beds
This season, classic Pendleton plaids, ombre’s and jacquards rule, and come in cuddler style beds, jackets, collars and, with some styles, in sweaters, too. One of these new patterns, chosen with difficulty from Pendleton’s 150 years of archive patterns, is called Mountains Majesty. I thought it had a Native American feel, and was told Pendleton has a rich history in Native American trading blankets. This is one of those patterns. It’s palette is neutral and will work well on most dogs. Isn’t it gorgeous?

Another fresh offering pays homage to the goofy hit movie, The Big Lebowski. Many may not realize the sweater Jeff Bridges wore in the film was a Pendleton pattern called The Westerly. Now, thanks to Pendleton and the Carolina Pet Co., your dog can rock it, too, but as The Big LeBarkski (you heard it here, first, folks. LOL). Now, when you call your pup “Dude”, you’ll have to really mean it.

And, I love the wonderful people at Carolina Pet Co. for saving me a goodie bag from their big SuperZoo event I couldn’t make. In honor of launching the collection on the West Coast, they invited a National Park Ranger and her adorable dog, a little Bark Ranger, dressed in his own ranger outfit and hat. Apparently, he was the talk of the event. I’m told there are a number of parks that have their own Bark Rangers, too, and Carolina Pet Company can now provide them with official Pendleton gear.

Oh my gosh, I can’t wait to see the fall line. The colors and fabrics are so vibrant and comforting. The sweaters are gorgeous!! Can’t wait to hit the trails with my pug in those sweaters, she will be warm and cozy.
Hi D! They are gorgeous; I love the vibrancy of the colors, too. My faves are the rich oranges and the blues. But love that they mined The Big Lebowski to bring back that Pendleton pattern for dogs!
